FAQ

  • My name is Jeremy Au Yeung, when I shorten it I call myself Jeremyay. Taking the Yay from the end of my name I created Yaylove.

  • After going through my work on my website and on Instagram, send me an inquiry through the contact form under the info tab. I generally respond within 24 hours. From there I’ll book you in for a video consultation to discuss your wedding details. Once you’ve selected your package I need a signed contract and a paid deposit to secure your date.

  • The sooner the better. My dates fill very fast! If you know your date, hit me up and I’ll check if I’m available.

  • You can find all my pricing and packages under the info tab. If you don’t see something that works for your wedding day, let me know and I’ll create a customized package to fit your needs.

  • Yes, I require a 50% deposit paid at the time of booking. The rest can be paid the week of or day of your wedding. Payments can be made by e-transfer.

  • ABSOLUTELY! Everyone you see in my work has probably told me they’re uncomfortable having their photo taken. I’ll guide you through moments and motions. Nothing will be stiff and forced. The beauty with wedding photography is that I’m working with normal people, not models. Through my years of experience I’ve learned how to direct and coach in a way that makes you feel comfortable being yourself, this way I’m able to capture true emotion and raw moments.

  • Your wedding photos will take two to three months depending on where your date lands during the wedding season. I try to get some sneak peaks to you about a week after your wedding day. I make sure to include a little from all parts of your day.

  • You will receive a password protected online gallery. With this gallery you will be able to view, share, download, favourite, and mark photos as private. All images delivered are fully edited and colour corrected.

  • This varies based on locations, guest count, activities, and various other factors. Therefor I do not specify a base number of photos. For an average wedding, I typically deliver 80-120+ photos per hour on location.

  • Absolutely! Let me know your wedding day details and I’ll help you create the perfect timeline. I’ve been to so many weddings, I know what works and what doesn’t work. I’ll help you create the most efficient and stress free schedule so you can enjoy your event to the fullest.

  • For sure! My clientele is very diverse. I’ve shot weddings from many different cultures over my years in the industry. I definitely haven’t seen everything yet, but I’m confident I can capture your culture properly.

  • Absolutely! Let me know your wedding details and I’ll send you a couple galleries that match your wedding vibe.

  • Absolutely! Every wedding is different, if you don’t see a package that fits your wedding day I will personally create a custom package to fit your needs.

  • Yes, on weekends during the wedding season I have a minimum booking of 6 hours. For elopements, engagements and pre-weddings I shoot during weekdays as weekends are reserved solely for wedding bookings.

  • My coverage is continuous start to finish. If your event starts at 9am and ends at 9pm, you must book for 12 hours. During downtime I use that time to back up photos, take even more photos, travel between locations, and maybe if I’m lucky I’ll treat myself to some water!

  • Unfortunately no, I do not. My business is solely focused on photography.

  • An engagement shoot has you dressed in casual or semi-formal attire.

During pre-wedding photo shoot you will be in full wedding attire and makeup. This could be a great chance to try on different wedding outfits, or showcase a destination of your choice.

  • Yes! I love destination weddings. Let me know where you’re thinking and we can work out an appropriate rate. Special discount rates apply for certain destinations. Additional travel and accommodation expenses are not included (flights, hotels, car rentals). I would need to arrive one day before the first event, and leave the morning after the last event.

  • I do not offer same day or next day edits. Shooting weddings is taxing on the body. I’m prepped the day before, up early, running, crawling, kneeling, shouting, directing traffic, helping aunties, and probably not eating much. You will receive sneak peaks about one week after your wedding day.

  • If you’re choosing to hire me, then you’re getting my style! I don’t imitate other photography styles so please look carefully through my gallery so you know what style to expect.

  • The majority of my editing is simple colour correction, tones, clarity, and contrast. I remove certain distractions from photos if necessary, but will never change your body without your permission. I may remove small blemishes for a more refined photo look. I don’t over edit photos, I try to keep the final look timeless and not based on certain trends in the industry.

  • No. The editing process is a huge part of my art. To deliver RAW photos would be like going out to eat and being served live animals and veggies pulled straight from the soil. Trust me, it’s better this way.

  • Your schedule will probably be evolving and changing from the planning stage all the way until the day of. If you find that you may need some more time before your event, or even on the day of let me know and we can add time at a hourly rate.

  • For engagement and pre-wedding photoshoots I’ll be watching the weather the days before. If it looks like we’re going to get rained out, we can move the date.

If it rains on your wedding day, I suggest you prepare some umbrellas for you and your bridal party. Clear, all black, or all white is preferred.

  • Life happens. Let me know asap and I’ll work with you to move your date. I cannot guarantee that I will be available for your new date as my calendar is built a year or two in advance. If this is the case, the deposit is non-refundable.

  • You are free to use your images in any way you see fit except for commercial use. I reserve the right to use images for my own portfolio, advertising, and publication.

  • Tips are not required but always appreciated! :)
